These two guys have been fixtures at my friend Krys’ house for about 10 years, now. Both have lost parts of their tails, one to tail rot and the other to a teething puppy. One looks so real as to startle you and I have grown used to thinking of it as real. One’s name really is Guy.

Actually, only one is artificial. Guy, The Bearded Dragon (#2) is very real. He is very gentle, unless you happen to be a Mealworm or a cricket. He is now almost 2 feet long, I would guess. He also has the most beautiful eyes… Like gold foil in amber.

I’m pretty sure the one on the bottom is the real one. I’m with Archie, the top one doesn’t have the fluid adaptation to the place it is sitting that I expect from a real live lizard.

Actually, Guy is the Bearded Dragon on the bottom. The top one is a plastic Monitor Lizard… though HIGHLY lifelike!
