PhotoHunter: Artificial

These two guys have been fixtures at my friend Krys’ house for about 10 years, now. Both have lost parts of their tails, one to tail rot and the other to a teething puppy. One looks so real as to startle you and I have grown used to thinking of it as real. One’s name really is Guy.

Actually, only one is artificial. Guy, The Bearded Dragon (#2) is very real. He is very gentle, unless you happen to be a Mealworm or a cricket. He is now almost 2 feet long, I would guess. He also has the most beautiful eyes… Like gold foil in amber.

I’m pretty sure the one on the bottom is the real one. I’m with Archie, the top one doesn’t have the fluid adaptation to the place it is sitting that I expect from a real live lizard.

Guy, the Bearded Dragon, on the bottom is the real one as you properly guessed.

Wow, amazing! Ummmm I’d guess the first lizard is artificial??

Mine’s up, too! I hope you get some time to visit.

I can’t tell….but since the lighting is so ‘warm’ on the top, I’d say the top one is real?!!! Do I win a prize if I’m correct? [kidding]

My artificial photo this week is a bit hairy! If you’d like to stop by and visit Click Here! I’d love to have you join me. Happy Saturday!!

Actually, Guy is the Bearded Dragon on the bottom. The top one is a plastic Monitor Lizard… though HIGHLY lifelike!

Great photos! They really need close comparison to decide real and unreal! I am opting for the first one to be unreal! Something about that front leg looks awkward!

The first one os not real and the last is real.

I’m picking the top one to be artificial. The way the claws don’t quite grip is what makes me think that – – –

I’m guessing the second pic is Guy.

The very dapper and ever-personable Guy is, indeed, the one on the bottom.

Your comment ended up in my spam and I keep forgetting to check the spam box. The second one is Guy, the Bearded Dragon, and he is very real… and very sweet.
