    These are beautiful pictures. Really, they are very nice. I love their ceremonial dress.

      Me, too. Of course, many of these costumes have become a sort of “pan-Indian” style and less traditional outfits of the various peoples. Most of the styles are Plains styles. Of course, the “fancy dance” outfits, especially for the men are a modern thing, and use modern, brightly-coloured materials.

      The jingle dance costumes are really neat. Originally, the “jingles” would have been shells or deer hooves which would have rattled together. Once sardines became a staple, the embossed can lids were reused as jungles. Now they are manufactured just for use in these costumes. You buy them already rolled into cones. They are still embossed. Not only do they jingle but they flash in the sun. Spectacular.
