I found this along the highway somewhere in the middle of nowhere, I think near Drumheller, Alberta, back in 1977.
I have no idea what it is…. whether it is man-made, something fossilized, or just some naturally created… something.
It appears to be stone and to have a lot of iron content. You can see the size in relation to my hand in the lower photo (although in the upper photo is looks a lot thicker and shorter, it is just the lighting). It is naturally as polished as it appears. I have not polished it.
If anyone has any ideas, I would really like to know. I have looked at it many times over the years and not been able to figure out what it is.
